The Broadway Green Alliance (BGA) and Times Square Alliance presented the 2nd Annual Broadway Celebrates Earth Day concert on April 22, 2023 from 10:00am – 3:00pm in Times Square. A landmark activation and celebrity showcase, the concert was live-streamed by Stars in the House. This unique, star-studded concert featured live performances from Broadway's top talent, young performers from the tri-state area, and family-friendly activities to accomplish the green needs on #BroadwaysToDoList. The concert was held on Broadway between 45th and 46th Streets, kicking off the NYC Department of Transportation's “Car-Free Earth Day.”
Broadway performers and hosts who joined the event in the morning included Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley (Stars in the House), Tony Award Nominee Anika Larsen (Almost Famous), Philippe Arroyo (& Juliet), Mara Davi (A Chorus Line), Jordan Dobson (Bad Cinderella), Laurel Harris (Jagged Little Pill), Rick Lyon (Avenue Q), Alli Mauzey (Kimberly Akimbo), Michael James Scott (Aladdin), Jason Tam (Be More Chill), Alysha Umphress (On The Town), and Ta-Tynisa Wilson (Hamilton).

Young performers from across the region took the stage in the afternoon, including students from Cassie Okenka Voice Studio, Epic Players, Marymount Manhattan College, New York City Children’s Theatre, Perkiomen Valley High School, R.Evolución Latina, and Wolf Performing Arts Center. David Alpert served as the director of the event and Rick Hip-Flores provided musical accompaniment.
