The Broadway Green Alliance and Times Square Alliance presented the third annual Broadway Celebrates Earth Day concert on Saturday, April 20 from 11am - 3pm ET between 45th and 46th Streets and live on Stars in the House as part of the NYC Department of Transportation’s “Car-Free Earth Day.” This unique star-studded concert featured live performances from Broadway's top talent and young performers from around the region, as well as interviews with environmental thought-leaders. David Alpert served as the director of the event and Rick Hip-Flores provided musical accompaniment. The concert was presented along with media partner iHeartRadio Broadway, with additional generous support from NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council), Creative Goods, Cup Zero, Le Botaniste, and theatreMAMA.
Broadway performers who joined the event included host Ben Cameron (Broadway Sessions), Tony Award Winner Ruthie Ann Miles (Sweeney Todd), Tony Award Nominee Anika Larsen (Almost Famous), Mecca Akbar (Sesame Street The Musical), John Cardoza (The Notebook), Lissa deGuzman (Wicked), Autumn Hurlbert (Something Rotten!), Casey Likes (Back to the Future: The Musical), Michael Maliakel (Aladdin), Liam Pearce (How to Dance in Ohio), Courtney Reed (Moulin Rouge! The Musical), Jelani Remy (Back to the Future: The Musical), Nic Rouleau (The Book of Mormon), Alexandra Socha (Wicked), Nik Walker (Spamalot), and a performance by Drag Performer Evita Loca (as portrayed by John Michael Dias) as well as a selection from the new musical The Apple Boys featuring Tony Award Nominee Emily Skeggs (Fun Home), Alex Gibson (SpongeBob the Musical), and Teddy Yudain (Little Shop of Horrors).

Young performers from across the region took the stage include students from Cassie Okenka Voice Studio, EPIC Players, NYU Steinhardt, Perkiomen Valley High School, R.Evolución Latina, and Wolf Performing Arts Center.
