Sustainable Southwest Beef Project is hosting a virtual event: Sustainable Southwest Beef Project Virtual On-Ranch Demo 2020 on December 1, 2020 from 11:00AM-1:00PM.
Virtual event highlighting the Clayton Livestock Research Center, calves from the breed comparison study, short topical presentations.
The Sustainable Southwest Beef Project is a 5-year NIFA-funded Coordinated Agriculture Project (CAP) researching novel approaches to improve sustainability of beef cattle production in the Southwestern USA, including: precision ranching technologies, supply chain options, and heritage cattle genetics. The annual on-ranch demo is designed to highlight one of the five locations where calves from the breed comparison study (heritage genetics vs. a traditional drought-adapted breed) are being managed. This year the even will be virtual rather than in-person, and we invite you to join us for this interactive session hosted by the Knowledge Co-production team and the Clayton Livestock Research Center.
