In this livestream, learn from Dr. Roman Sidortsov about the history of Arctic energy, its current state, and what the future holds for a rapidly changing region. Dr. Sidorstov is an Assistant Professor of Energy Policy, Michigan Technological University and a Senior Research Fellow In Energy Justice And Transitions Sussex Energy Group Science Policy Research Unit University of Sussex. He is a comparative socio-legal scholar and teacher focusing on the intersection of energy and environmental law and policy. His current research is motivated by the need to transition to sustainable energy systems and includes international and comparative energy law and policy with a special emphasis on the Russian Federation and the United States, revitalization of post-industrial communities through sustainable energy development, energy security and justice, risk governance in the energy sector, and Arctic energy development.
