Celebrating Black Botanists & the Legacy of Dr. George Washington Carver

  • Queens Botanical Garden 43-50 Main Street Flushing, NY 11355 (map)

The Queens Botanical Garden is hosting a series of winter outings for families!

Learn how plants played an important role in the lives of Dr. Carver, Dr. Marie Clark Taylor, Edmond Albius, and Percy Gentle. We'll explore some plants Dr. Carver worked with, using plants to paint and to create a lotion to take home. Please dress for the weather.

This program is recommended for 4 to 12-year-olds.
