Learn about this cycle at Queens Farm in this FREE workshop hosted by Lower East Side Ecology Center! In this program, we’ll tour the farm’s compost center and learn how food scraps are processed on a community-scale. Participants will gain an understanding of composting science, devices and tools used, and how to apply compost to our green spaces. We’ll use this knowledge to build a small compost pile together using New Yorkers' food scraps.
