Our installation aims to reignite public support of the organic waste collection program- a project slashed from the city’s budget during the onset of the pandemic. Let’s have our elected officials know that we still want brown compost bins at every block in this city! Join us as we conduct multilingual outreach to community members in Kensington about Intro 244- the bill in City Council that would recreate our city’s organic waste collection program. We’ll be giving away kitchen counter compost bins as well as plants nourished with locally sourced compost. We’ll also distribute our compost inspired art featuring quotes by NYC environmental advocates.
