FLC and the FAME Center Summer Film Screening: Film #3

  • Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law 55 5th Avenue New York, NY, 10003 United States (map)

Throughout the summer, FLC and the FAME Center will be screening three social justice-oriented films in the third floor lounge.* Movie snacks will be provided. We hope to provide a place for our extended community to engage with meaningful topics, so feel free to invite friends!

Our final film will be The Condor and the Eagle, a film highlighting the interconnectedness of the earth while spotlighting the heroic Indigenous women leading an unparalleled global movement to address the climate crisis.

Our first film, Final Account, showed the power of documentary film — and storytelling more broadly — by prodding the memories and perception of the last living generation of everyday people to participate, in subtle and in overt ways, in the horrific crimes of the Holocaust. This urgent portrait reminds us all of the importance of our actions and resistance, collectively and individually.

Our second film of the series was Missing in Brooks County, an important, nuanced and sobering look at the immigration crisis and the challenges faced by migrants — even after they’ve crossed the border.

We hope you will join us for the final screening in our summer series!
