NYU Dept. of Performing Studies Climate Change Forum

Join us for an open discussion with students, staff, and faculty to brainstorm collective responses to the accelerating ecological disaster.

What can be done? The scale of the problem is so vast and daunting that it has been called a "hyper-object," an issue too big for us to conceive, let alone address. At the same time, we must address it, however we can, from wherever we are.

Join us for an open discussion with PS students, staff, and faculty to brainstorm collective responses to the accelerating ecological disaster. What can we do as a community, as individuals, and as a department to mark this moment, to grieve this moment, and to rethink and rebuild the world? We will hear from scholars, artists, and activists about local initiatives, and discuss potential actions at different levels--our neighborhoods, our university, the field of performance studies, etc.

If you would like to help plan this forum, or have suggestions for guest speakers, please contact Michelle Castañeda.
