Explore the impact of the arts on furthering conversations around climate justice and community engagement
AGENDA:
6:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. Meet and greet with public artists behind Hedgework (outdoors)
7:15 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Panel discussion (inside)
Join us for an opportunity to meet the creators of Hedgework, a sentient hedgerow at Building 77 commissioned by the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and to hear from other artists working to engage the public in conversation with and about the environment. The evening will commence with tours of the Hedgework installation and networking with the artists, followed by a panel discussion to explore New York-based socially engaged public art projects.
All are welcome. Light snacks and alcohol-free drinks will be provided. Beer and wine will be available for purchase (please remember to bring your ID).
