GreenThumb community gardens are developed, led, and cared for by dedicated volunteer gardeners who critically upkeep them as public green spaces.

Since 2015, Luigi's Garden of Love in Harlem, Manhattan has been nourished by community members who enjoy growing food and hosting social events. They're excited to bring new people into the garden and continue their efforts in caring for this green space.

Join Luigi's Garden of Love and GreenThumb for a volunteer workday where we'll be repairing, building, and filling raised beds with soil. This is a great opportunity to learn garden maintenance and basic carpentry skills! Gloves and tools will be provided. Bring water, snacks, and clothes and shoes/boots you don't mind getting dirty. Please note that this activity is outdoors and may require bending, kneeling, and lifting heavy material.
