Join the Environmental Stewardship Team for Willow Lake Trail Maintenance along our official NYC Parks trail, the Pat Dolan Trail.

About this event

This location of the park serves as a sanctuary to plant life, migratory birds, and all native wildlife of New York State. Volunteers will be closing desire lines, which are paths branching off the main trail unofficially created by the public. This will be done by adding fallen branches, fallen leaves, brush, and removed invasive plants to the path of the desire line with the guidance of Stewardship Coordinator Sarah.

Additional event information is provided after registration. We kindly ask that all volunteers wear face coverings and come prepared with work gloves and water. This is a great opportunity for volunteers of all ages to get involved in the natural urban environment we call home while learning how to maintain it. Join us for a nature-filled day at Flushing Meadows Corona Park!
