Food Systems for Sustainable Communities with Holly Fowler

The SBRSD Sustainability Coalition is hosting a virtual event “Food Systems for Sustainable Communities with Holly Fowler” on April 30, 2021 from 5:30PM-7:00PM EST.

This event is part of the SBRSD Sustainability Coalition Sustainable Speaker Series.

About this Event:

Join us for a presentation by Holly Fowler, Co-founder & Managing Director of Northbound Ventures. Communities across the United States, urban to rural, recognize the importance of food to their local economies. Holly's presentation will highlight efforts by cities and towns from Maine to Alaska to identify what is theirs to contribute to local and regional food systems in return for increased sustainability, economic resiliency, and social justice.

Supported by a grant from the Berkshire Environmental Endowment Fund of Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, this virtual speaker series will be open to the general public at no charge and will focus on sustainable initiatives in the region and the world. From February through June, our speaker series will present a range of experts to offer actionable methods for audience members to affect change in their households and communities. Speakers will share their experience and research on various topics within the overall focus of environmental sustainability.
