Join this focus group and share input to help shape the future of campus waste management at the University of Guelph on Wednesday, August 11th from 5:30PM to 6:15PM.
About this event:
The University of Guelph Sustainability Office is currently looking for feedback from the University of Guelph community on our current and future campus waste reduction initiatives, goals, and priorities.
There are three ways to share your input and participate in the sustainability planning process:
Complete our online planning survey: Take 5 minutes and fill out our short survey to share your ideas and feedback.
Participate in a virtual focus group: Attend a 30-minute virtual focus group to share your insights and feedback on waste reduction and management through a set of interactive question and answer activities.
Email sustainability@uoguelph.ca with your input: If you have any relevant research experience or existing data, we are seeking information on the following information:
Measurements of biodiversity on campus
Accessibility of waste systems
Transportation data
Other relevant data for campus sustainability
Focus Group Information:
Participate in one of the four focus groups we are conducting to help us create the University of Guelph's Waste Reduction Master Plan. These plans will act as a guiding document for waste reduction policies, procedures, and programs on the University of Guelph's main campus.
Participants can expect a 45-minute session featuring a brief introduction to the Sustainability Office and the plans followed by interactive question and answer activities completed in a group format.
Participants will have the option of contributing ideas through text using our Google Jamboard (an interactive platform using virtual sticky notes) or orally through responding to questions read aloud by focus group organizers.
